What is the Church?

One time, I was taking a walk with my grandmother and she pointed to a building down the hill. She said, “David, that there is the meeting house. These days, some people call that a church, but that’s not the church. WE are the church. That’s the meeting house.”

• The church consists of the community of people who follow Jesus and pursue His best for our lives and desire for His will to be done in their lives. 

• Some of the wonderful benefits of being in a church family are sharing community and camaraderie with others who are on a similar faith journey. 

• Living for God can be quite challenging in this modern age, and although our individual faith quest is personal, we were not created to live this life alone.
